Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Cartodesigns LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates cartodesigns.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Site and purchase our products.

2. Information We Collect

When you place an order or create an account, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Phone number
  • Shipping address
  • Order history and design preferences

We do not collect or store credit card numbers. Payment is processed securely by our third-party payment processor.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders
  • Send order confirmation and shipping notification emails
  • Respond to customer support inquiries
  • Improve our products and services

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with categories of trusted third-party service providers, solely to fulfill orders and operate our business. Each provider receives only the data they need for their function:

  • Payment processor — receives your payment details directly via a secure form. We never see or store card numbers ourselves.
  • Print-on-demand fulfillment partner — receives your shipping address, contact info, and design files in order to print and ship your order.
  • Email service provider — receives your email address and the content of transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications, account verification) in order to deliver them.
  • Database and infrastructure providers — store your account and order data and operate the website. May receive standard server-side data such as IP addresses, browser identifiers, and request logs.
  • Authentication providers — if you choose to sign in with a third-party identity provider (such as Google), that provider authenticates you and shares your basic profile data (email, name) with us. Your interaction with the identity provider is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Error monitoring service — receives technical error reports (stack traces, browser/server context, request URL) to help us diagnose bugs. We do not configure this service to receive personally-identifiable information such as your name, email, or IP address.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies

We use cookies in two categories:

Essential cookies. Set by our authentication provider when you sign in (and by Google during the sign-in flow if you sign in with Google). These are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies. We use a third-party web analytics service to understand how visitors use our site — which pages they visit, which products they view, how long they stay, where they came from. The service sets cookies under names like _ga, _gid, or similar. Behavioral data is sent to and processed on the service’s servers. Data is retained for a limited period (typically up to 14 months) and used only in aggregate. We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

Your choices.

  • Most major web analytics providers offer browser-based opt-out tools or add-ons that disable their tracking across all sites that use them. We recommend installing one if you’d prefer to opt out.
  • To block cookies entirely, use your browser’s privacy settings or install a tracking-blocker extension.
  • California residents: see our Privacy Rights page for details on your specific opt-out rights under CCPA/CPRA.

We do not use advertising cookies or marketing pixels from any third-party ad networks.

6. Data Retention

We retain order and transaction data for 7 years to comply with US tax and accounting requirements. Account-only data that is not part of an order record (such as saved design configurations and profile information) will be deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request.

To request deletion of personal information, email support@cartodesigns.com from the address associated with your account.

7. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know — what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., we must retain transaction records for tax compliance).
  • Right to opt out of sale — Cartodesigns LLC does not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email support@cartodesigns.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within 45 days, as required by CCPA.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment processing, and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
